About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the purchasing process from identifying procurement needs through supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct due diligence, and support negotiation of terms
- Foster and maintain supplier relationships, resolve concerns, and collaborate on improvements
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with regulations, standards, and internal policies while maintaining accurate records
- Contribute to quality control standards, inspections, and supplier performance assessments
- Support procurement budget management, resource allocation, and cost-effective solutions
- Implement sourcing strategies and identify opportunities for supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation
- Use procurement software and analytics to improve purchasing processes, monitoring, and reporting
- Perform other relevant responsibilities assigned by management
- Report directly to the Procurement Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in procurement, planning and/or supply chain functions demonstrating strong supplier management and process adherence and improvement skills
- Negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier contracts effectively
- Proficiency with procurement software and tools for purchasing activities and data analysis
- Understanding of cost control measures and ability to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with supplier diversity, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement practices
