Key responsibilities & impact- Manage procurement activities for castings and forgings supporting machining suppliers.
- Place, track, and ensure execution of purchase orders.
- Track supplier commitments, production schedules, delivery performance, lead times, and shipment schedules.
- Coordinate forecasts and demand requirements with suppliers for capacity planning and production needs.
- Support NREs, tooling investments, and production readiness activities.
- Monitor supplier delivery, quality, responsiveness, and capacity performance.
- Conduct operational reviews and drive corrective actions and recovery plans.
- Maintain supplier scorecards, dashboards, and performance reports.
- Identify supply constraints and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Monitor supplier financial, operational, and geopolitical risks.
- Escalate critical supplier issues and coordinate emergency recovery activities.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Strategic Sourcing teams.
- Support engineering changes, supplier transitions, and new product introduction activities.
- Participate in capacity reviews, business planning discussions, and supplier strategy meetings.
- Analyze supplier performance trends and provide management updates on supply status, recovery plans, and critical risks.
- Support executive-level reporting and business reviews.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required.
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, supplier management, or sourcing experience.
- Experience supporting castings, forgings, machining, metals, or industrial manufacturing supply chains preferred.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase order execution.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
- Understanding of castings, forgings, machining processes, and manufacturing supply chains.
- Knowledge of procurement, supplier management, and inventory planning concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
- Candidate must be a U.S. person: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
