About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and record journal entries in SAP and Central Finance (CFIN)
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
- Coordinate preparation of local statutory financial statements and supporting documentation
- Maintain accounting records and statutory books in compliance with Chilean legal, tax and accounting requirements
- Support external and internal audits with reconciliations, schedules, analyses and documentation
- Prepare and review tax reporting packages and support income tax provision activities
- Partner with Treasury, Tax, Global Business Services and Corporate Finance teams
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, company policies, US GAAP and Local GAAP
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3–4 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance or controllership activities
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls
- Experience working with SAP
- Experience with account reconciliations, statutory reporting and audit support activities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to build effective partnerships with local, regional and global stakeholders
- Knowledge of Chilean accounting, tax and regulatory requirements
- Experience working in multinational organizations or shared services environments
