About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, modify and maintain 3D CAD models using Siemens NX 11/NX 12
- Design mechanical components and assemblies according to project requirements and engineering standards
- Design plastic parts and die-cast components
- Create and maintain technical drawings and engineering documentation using GD&T principles
- Prepare and optimise CAD models for thermal and structural simulations and prototype manufacturing
- Manage CAD data, technical documentation and engineering changes within Teamcenter
- Support technical documentation release processes using Teamcenter and GES
- Participate in design reviews and implement agreed engineering changes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver project milestones on time
- Ensure compliance with applicable design standards and project quality requirements
- Support an Automotive Compute development project throughout the product development lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Siemens NX 11/NX 12
- Practical experience in plastic component design
- Practical experience in die-cast component design
- Strong knowledge and practical application of GD&T
- Experience preparing technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage engineering deliverables with minimal supervision
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry (preferred)
- Experience developing automotive electronic hardware products (preferred)
- Practical experience with Siemens Teamcenter (preferred)
- Experience with engineering change and release management processes (preferred)
- Experience with sheet metal design (preferred)
- Good written and spoken English (preferred)
- Experience working in international, cross-functional engineering teams (preferred)
- Candidates must demonstrate the mandatory technical requirements; CATIA or SolidWorks experience alone is not a substitute for Siemens NX experience
