About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Select and sequence available jobs for specific workstations or machines based on MPS-driven demand
- Meet weekly with Contracts to review pending and recently received demands and assign planner responsibility
- Manage overall workload and align resources to maintain balance
- Coordinate communications between planning, project accounting, and project management for project Material EACs and Execution Charts
- Improve systems, functions, and daily operations to meet goals more effectively
- Maintain manufacturing build plans daily
- Maintain run and setup times for jobs, products, and parts
- Create and maintain expected completion dates for scheduled jobs
- Review schedules and ensure raw materials are available when needed
- Create forward-looking plans for purchase requisitions and monitor material deliveries
- Plan and monitor all outside services
- Consolidate demand for purchase requisitions
- Highlight critical parts and issues that may prevent operations from meeting the MPS
- Support, communicate, and defend the company’s mission, values, and culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience
- Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationships
- Strong background in project material management
- Extensive experience in production planning
- Skilled in Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
- Strong understanding of MRP systems
