About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the overall clinical, technical, and administrative functions of the PAP Therapy program at the assigned location
- Install and set up CPAP, AutoPAP, and BiPAP respiratory therapy equipment
- Provide patients with required supplies and products
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patients and equipment
- Contact patients to schedule equipment setups and explain PAP therapy benefits and sleep apnea risks
- Coordinate clinically with physicians, referral contacts, healthcare practitioners, and other patient-care participants
- Maintain records, charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, and preventive maintenance records
- Update demographic information when changes occur
- Oversee applicable regulatory rules and guidelines for respiratory therapist staff
- Orient and train subordinate or newly hired respiratory therapist staff and service technicians
- Follow cost-containment policies and procedures
- Coordinate with office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and service documentation
- Provide information required by third-party payors for coverage
- Work with clinical, managerial, and sales staff to promote home respiratory therapy services to referral sources
- Ensure safe and accurate equipment operation before installation
- Provide availability for patient contact and respond to patient needs
- Collaborate with other respiratory therapists, PCCs, and departments to complete tasks
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have RT License
- Must have high speed internet
- Availability for patient contact and response to patient needs
- Ability to work Monday through Friday during normal business hours, starting at 8:00 a.m.
