Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze customer requirements for software components, system availability, security, and performance
- Design and document complete cloud hosting systems, including capacity planning, instance type selection and allocation, and network design
- Estimate costs of recommended system designs
- Build systems through installation, configuration, and testing of cloud resources
- Use automation and configuration management to ensure repeatability and traceability of changes
- Troubleshoot system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems
- Protect system integrity and security using controls and monitoring tools
- Provide written evaluations and recommendations for ongoing improvement
- Maintain system performance through monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and future-growth planning
- Design and run load and stress tests; document outcomes and debug infrastructure issues
- Escalate documented application problems to the development team
- Maintain internal systems and customer deployment documentation
- Partner with project managers, technical consultants, software architects, and developers to validate infrastructure deliverables and document technical hand-offs
- Respond to support tickets and incidents in accordance with SLA commitments
- Define best practices, operational policies, and procedures
- Establish, document, and test disaster recovery procedures
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Residing in Brazil
- Resume in English as a PDF
- No visa sponsorship available; must independently have the right to work in Brazil
- Read and agree to the Corporate Values Statement
- Believe in the company's mission to help people
- Advanced to fluent English communication skills
- 4+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Additional experience with other cloud providers is a bonus
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows systems administration (at least one required)
- Scripting skills; bash shell and Python preferred, PowerShell acceptable
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and HTTP protocols
- Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs
- Problem-solving ability and willingness to work in an agile/fast-paced environment
- Customer-oriented with good communication skills
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- AWS Certifications or willingness to get certified is nice to have
- Interest in Generative AI technologies is nice to have
