Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain production spaces and equipment
- Work safely inside and outside the building and report unsafe conditions
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment
- Research and recommend equipment needed for projects
- Research parts needed for mechanical and electrical work
- Perform electrical evaluations and repairs
- Troubleshoot low-voltage control systems using PLC knowledge
- Read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Perform MIG welding and basic mill and lathe operations
- Fabricate equipment tooling, jigs and mechanical fixtures of intermediate complexity
- Inform the Maintenance Supervisor about repair issues and seek guidance or assistance from other technicians
- Perform other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Must have at least 3 years of related experience
- Forklift certification or license
- Two-year degree in HVAC and Boiler C license preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple and complex instructions and follow written and verbal directions
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Knowledge of and skill using Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
- Knowledge of heating and cooling systems, electronics, fabrication plumbing, and welding
- Ability to operate manual and powered equipment and small hand tools
- Ability to diagnose, repair and maintain manufacturing, facility and grounds equipment
- Ability to work extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested
- Knowledge of Lean and Kaizen methods and standard production safety protocol
