About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out major and minor installations and support Motorola Video applications at client sites
- Develop and implement efficient and cost-effective solutions
- Evaluate system specifications against business requirements
- Work with management to prioritize business goals and information needs
- Install and support in-car video and body-worn camera hardware
- Train end users on end-to-end video system functionality
- Provide consultation and expert advice to partners or customers executing hardware deployments
- Work in IT environments and help resolve networking, port protocol, and server maintenance issues
- Generate technical field trip reports and technical deployment documentation
- Travel over 50% to customer and client sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma, Technical Certificates, or Associate's, or Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Motorola equipment, Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Mobile or Fixed Video Systems, Telecommunications, or Public Safety
- CompTIA Certification(s)
- Networking experience
- Extensive computer use experience
- Experience in a Field Service environment preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Ability to install and/or configure hardware and/or software for Video Products
- Ability to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers
- Ability to pass a stringent fingerprint background check for work in high-security CJIS areas
- Must be able to work in the United States
