Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build tools, APIs, and platform experiences that connect Notion to customers' apps, data, and workflows
  • Enable developers, admins, and builders to create reliable integrations and automations
  • Contribute to internal platform capabilities that accelerate Notion engineering teams
  • Develop end-user-facing functionality enabling toolmaking and extensibility
  • Identify and execute technical investments supporting long-term platform quality, reliability, performance, flexibility, and sustainability
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners across product, design, data science, and user research
  • Define product strategy and drive execution through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance
  • Evolve Developer Platform capabilities across APIs, MCP tools, and integration infrastructure
  • Contribute to product performance, reliability, robustness, and scalability
  • Partner with engineering leaders on high-leverage technical investments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience shipping production software
  • Strong track record of owning features end-to-end
  • Fluency with TypeScript across both backend and frontend
  • Strong product instincts and ability to take vague problems, propose technical approaches, and cut scope
  • Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools
  • Experience building developer tools such as APIs and SDKs (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with AI/agent tooling, evals, or LLM-driven product experiences (nice to have)
