About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, financial statement footnotes, quarterly accounting workpaper packages, and investor reporting packages
- Prepare/facilitate day-to-day operating activities for private equity and real estate fund administration clients, including cash management, wire setup, management fees, carried interest/waterfall calculations, subsequent closes, credit facility maintenance, deal funding, and expense payments
- Become an expert user of the firm’s fund administration technology platform
- Assist with onboarding new clients, setting up investors, investments, reports, and the LP reporting portal
- Prepare/facilitate capital calls and distribution calculations and execute these processes in the technology platform
- Maintain and update investor data
- Respond to ad hoc inquiries from clients and limited partners
- Coordinate with clients’ external auditors and tax providers for year-end audits and tax return information
- Help train new/junior-level staff members
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of relevant fund accounting or fund administration experience, preferably supporting private equity, real estate, or other alternative investment funds
- Ability to interpret/apply the financial and operational terms of Limited Partnership Agreements for private equity funds
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, CA, or progress toward a relevant professional certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced working knowledge of Excel
- Experience with Allvue, Yardi, or a comparable fund administration platform preferred
- Experience with fund accounting software such as Allvue, Investran, eFront, Yardi, or similar platforms preferred
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized
- Strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and positive attitude
- Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
- Must not require sponsorship now or in the future for entry-level hiring; F-1 visa holders are excluded from entry-level sponsorship
