About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders
- Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken
- Update receivers and customers on load status
- Monitor daily pickups and deliveries and verify on-time, undamaged arrivals
- Take check calls from drivers and ensure loads will deliver on time
- Validate load data before marking loads delivered for accounting purposes
- Investigate product overages, shortages, and damages and complete documentation
- Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments
- Accept or decline loads based on account manager direction
- Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1 year of logistics experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General knowledge of the transportation industry
- Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
- May be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test after receiving a conditional offer
