About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex design challenges from early exploration through production
- Create intuitive flows, interfaces, interactions and motion for developer tools
- Shape Spotify Technology’s visual language across product experiences and brand touchpoints
- Transform internal engineering tools into commercial products for developers and enterprise customers
- Build and ship high-quality front-end experiences with attention to performance, accessibility and detail
- Set experience strategy and influence priorities, decisions and roadmap
- Use prototypes, storytelling and experimentation to clarify complex ideas and build alignment
- Explore generative AI and agentic tools for design and development workflows
- Champion design systems, inclusive experiences, collaboration, feedback and continuous learning
- Collaborate with product, engineering and marketing partners
- Report to the Spotify Technology Design Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong background in product design, shaping complex digital products and delivering high-quality visual and interaction design
- Comfortable working across strategy and execution
- Ability to build and ship user interfaces using a modern front-end technology stack
- Understanding of cohesive visual experiences across product and brand, interaction, motion and design systems
- Understanding of developer tools, enterprise software or platform products and technical audiences
- Experience using generative AI and agentic tools with sound judgment
- Ability to navigate ambiguity using research, data and customer insights
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and influence product decisions through design work and storytelling
- Commitment to inclusive, collaborative work and helping others grow
