About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with business leaders across TIAA’s business units and functional areas on strategic challenges
  • Support and increasingly lead consulting project workstreams
  • Develop skills in timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and delivery of high-quality outputs
  • Structure and solve complex business problems involving growth strategy, operating model design, market positioning, and organizational effectiveness
  • Conduct market sizing, competitive benchmarking, financial modeling, interview synthesis, and scenario planning
  • Incorporate risk assessment into decision-making amid ambiguity and incomplete information
  • Develop executive-ready materials with clear, actionable insights
  • Build exposure to senior audiences including the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees
  • Build relationships with engagement managers and business partners
  • Participate in training, mentorship, feedback cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Complete a two-year associate development program with progressively increasing responsibility

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University (Degree) Required
  • 5+ years of work experience required
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must not require current or future work visa sponsorship to retain authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Prior experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or related analytical roles strongly preferred
  • MBA preferred
  • Participation in TIAA’s Summer Associate Internship Program preferred
  • Skills in adaptability, business development, consultative communication, data-based decision making, executive presence, financial modeling, market/industry dynamics, relationship management, storytelling, and strategic thinking
