About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide therapeutic nursing interventions, tube feeds, dressing changes and related care
- Administer medications upon completion of medication course
- Document using the EPIC system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including registered nurses, medical social work, care managers, nutrition, rehabilitation services, spiritual care and pharmacy
- Ensure quality nursing care in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, national standards, and nursing and clinical service standards
- Provide direct patient and family care using the Nursing Process
- Participate in outpatient primary care services across family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics and behavioral health
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduation from an accredited school for Nursing
- Current licensure in the State of New York
- Current BLS/CPR
- Participate in orientation and continuing education
- Maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise
- Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat and reach
