Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Analyze financial information and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, collaborating with departments to align with organizational objectives
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual results
- Work with departmental managers to address financial issues and opportunities
- Report on KPIs and financial performance trends to senior management
- Prepare reports by cost centres and revenue centres as required by management
- Support month-end closing processes and ensure transactions comply with accounting standards and internal policies
- Participate in financial modeling and projections for strategic planning and business development
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for stakeholders and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with auditors during annual audits
- Keep updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and management accounting best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- A CPA/CMA certification is preferred
- Proven experience as a management accountant or similar role, typically 3-5 years
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial modeling software)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good ethics and integrity in handling financial information
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to work
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive financial data
