About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform computer data entry
- Prepare all flight documents
- Interface with U.S. Customs
- Prepare import and export documentation
- Accept and distribute cargo in accordance with air carrier and Department of Transportation regulations
- Compile customer lists for sales leads
- Solicit orders and speak with customers to complete sales
- Quote prices and terms and prepare sales contracts
- Estimate delivery dates based on company delivery schedules
- Move cargo weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Comply with WFS site security procedures for the assigned warehouse and other operations
- Monitor staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities
- Report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or through the WFS whistleblower program
- Retrieve import and deliver export documents to and from aircraft
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Port Authority or Airport Authority permit, if applicable, to use ramp-side service roads
- At least 18 years of age if the position requires driving cargo-handling equipment
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
- Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift
- Ability to drive all cargo-handling equipment
- Ability to step up to an above-ground level
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
- Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
- Ability to concentrate on detail
- Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.; no exceptions
