Key responsibilities & impact- Optimize the profitability of retail fuel sales for assigned stores and markets through pricing strategies and data analytics
- Develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with performance metrics
- Provide pricing directives to stores and field management with supporting data
- Engage with other departments to provide insight on market-level performance and forecasts
- Conduct tactical analysis using large data sets to identify trends, mitigate risks, identify threats, and realize opportunities
- Stay informed on market conditions
- Track strategy initiatives and evaluate KPIs week over week
- Serve as a subject matter expert on fuel and provide fuel projections for M&A and Real Estate
- Communicate with store personnel, field personnel, and management
- Provide weekly financial recaps with insights
- Drive collaboration and learning initiatives within the pricing team
- Troubleshoot integration issues and interface with fuel technicians and store employees to identify system solutions
- Oversee data integrity of fuel pricing systems
- Lead projects supporting team initiatives
- Pursue knowledge of industry, systems, and market dynamics
- Use data analysis to debate and develop new approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's/4 Yr Degree required
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Marketing, Statistics or related fields preferred
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL
- Microsoft Power BI knowledge is a plus
- Tableau knowledge
- Petroleum industry knowledge
- Understanding of the convenience store industry
- Strong analytical decision-making abilities
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
