Key responsibilities & impact- Test batch and streaming data pipelines for accuracy, completeness, and reliability
- Validate data transformations, business rules, data models, and source-to-target reconciliation using SQL and Snowflake
- Test Apache Flink streaming data processing, event handling, data consistency, and fault tolerance
- Verify end-to-end data flows between source systems, processing platforms, and target systems
- Develop and maintain automated data validation and regression tests
- Identify data anomalies and validate pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability
- Investigate data issues, document defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows and improve overall test coverage
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement testing strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with testing Snowflake and SQL-based data transformations
- Experience testing Apache Flink streaming pipelines
- Experience with end-to-end data integrations
- Ability to develop and maintain automated data validation and regression tests
- Ability to identify data anomalies and validate pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability
- Ability to investigate data issues and document defects
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD workflows
- Collaboration with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and other stakeholders
