Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as part of the technical team on incident response engagements
- Develop and use new methods to hunt for bad actors across large sets of data
- Conduct intrusion investigations under the direction of project leadership and outside counsel
- Perform host- and/or network-based forensics across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
- Support production of high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings
- Present findings to customer management, regulators, and legal counsel
- Protect organizations against advanced attackers through CrowdStrike Services engagements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Knowledge of or experience in incident response investigations, including targeted threats such as Nation-State, E-Crime, and Hacktivists
- Background using forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and network analysis tools such as Bro/Zeek or Suricata
- Ability to analyze associated network logs
- Ability to understand static and dynamic malware analysis
- Strong understanding of targeted attacks and ability to support customized tactical and strategic remediation plans
- Understanding of secure network architecture and strong background in network operations
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP incident response methodologies
- Strong ability to communicate executive and detailed-level findings to clients
- Ability to communicate tasks, guidance, and methodology effectively with internal teams
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
- Ability to complete technical tasks with limited supervision
- This role may require periodically undergoing and passing alcohol and/or drug tests during employment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify and Right to Work notices)
