Key responsibilities & impact- Gather and document integration requirements with client business and IT teams
- Design, configure, and test inbound and outbound integrations using APIs, flat files, EDI, SFTP, and web services
- Perform mappings, transformations, and data loads via APIs or other methods
- Configure, secure, and troubleshoot OAuth 2.0, API keys, SSO, and SFTP key-based authentication
- Support client testing and troubleshoot integration failures, data quality issues, and performance problems
- Write technical specifications, mapping documents, test plans, go-live documentation, and support documentation
- Collaborate with implementation, product, development, and client success teams
- Advise clients on integration best practices, security, and data governance
- Keep client work within SOW scope, timeline, and budget
- Identify and escalate scope creep or out-of-scope work to the Project Manager
- Contribute reusable templates and tooling to the internal knowledge base
- Configure the Origami platform when applicable
- Monitor production interfaces and resolve issues to meet client SLA commitments
- Follow Origami standard configuration, established best practices, and industry standards
- Perform unit testing of assigned deliverables
- Plan and lead internal and external working sessions
- Teach project team members and mentor less experienced colleagues
- Assist with training and onboarding new colleagues
- Record hours worked according to Origami’s time entry policy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of previous integrations, data engineering, implementation, or technical consulting experience
- Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and CSV/flat-file formats
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API keys, SSO/SAML, SFTP key-based and certificate-based authentication, and TLS encryption
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational data models
- Experience with data mapping and transformation, including scripting in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar
- Experience with SFTP, file-based transfers, and scheduled batch processes
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in client-facing settings
- Ability to document specifications, mappings, and runbooks clearly and currently
- Ability to take ownership of delivery and raise scope and timeline risks early
- Ability to work independently and in teams and remain effective when requirements change
- Insurance industry experience preferred
- Experience with SaaS platforms in risk management, insurance, claims, benefits, underwriting, rating, or billing preferred
- Familiarity with ACORD, EDI, IAIABC, workers’ compensation, or P&C claims data preferred
- Experience with iPaaS/middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Prismatic, Boomi, or Workato preferred
- Project management or consulting experience preferred; relevant certifications a plus
