About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Become an expert on the company's online diagnostic and instruction program, as well as core products, focusing on Mathematics
- Serve teachers in the classroom by coordinating on-site product training and professional learning courses for teachers and school administrators
- Adjust professional learning workshops within specified parameters to fit participants' needs
- Deliver professional learning courses to teachers, coaches, and leaders on effectively implementing Ready and i-Ready
- Provide tailored on-site support, including lesson planning and pacing support, helping educators analyze data and apply it to instruction, and working with leaders to identify implementation successes and challenges
- Engage in internal professional improvement and development, including observation, feedback, and coaching
- Track and submit detailed training notes and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Present a professional image to customers and prospects
- Work with the Associate Manager or Manager of Professional Learning, sales team, and other Curriculum Associates professionals
- Support districts throughout New England (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI), Pennsylvania, and West Virginia
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2+ years of experience in teaching Mathematics, coaching teachers of Mathematics, and providing Mathematics professional learning
- Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary (6-12) level and/or with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics education preferred
- Strong working knowledge of the State Standards for Mathematics for Grades K-8, including both content standards and practice standards
- Understanding of the ELA Standards for K-8 preferred
- Fluency with using digital tools including online assessments
- High level of comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders
- Understanding of principles of adult learning and how to apply them to professional learning
- Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Proven organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent computer and internet skills, including knowledge of Office programs (Outlook, Word, PPT, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort
- Must have own transportation
- Valid driver's license required
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
