Key responsibilities & impact- Lead complex investigations across endpoint, identity, email, network, and cloud environments
- Serve as technical lead for high-severity and multi-customer incidents
- Analyze EDR telemetry, forensic artifacts, and network data to determine root cause, attacker TTPs, and scope of compromise
- Investigate sophisticated Microsoft 365 attacks, including BEC and AITM, and provide expert guidance to customers
- Perform static and dynamic malware analysis to identify threat behavior and indicators of compromise
- Develop and lead strategic and surgical remediation plans, coordinating third-party containment actions
- Mentor and develop Analyst team members
- Contribute to training materials, knowledge base content, and team capability development
- Drive process improvements, contribute to SOP development, and build automation
- Represent CrowdStrike through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and external speaking engagements
- Deliver expert-level customer communications and manage technical escalations during critical incidents
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in incident handling, threat landscape awareness, computer forensic analysis, malware analysis, operating system fundamentals, systems administration, network analysis, identity platforms, email security, third-party log analysis, incident remediation, network operations and architecture/engineering, programming/scripting, and AI platforms
- Expert-level experience leading complex incident response investigations, including high-severity, multi-host, and multi-customer incidents
- Deep expertise in attack vectors, threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures, with advanced proficiency applying and extending MITRE ATT&CK
- Advanced forensic analysis across host, memory, and network artifacts
- Advanced static and dynamic malware analysis, including reverse engineering concepts and behavioral analysis
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows, Mac, and/or Linux operating systems, with particular depth in at least one
- Advanced experience administering and securing enterprise network environments
- Expert-level knowledge of network protocols and traffic analysis
- Deep expertise with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory
- Advanced experience investigating and remediating Microsoft 365 security incidents, including BEC and AITM attacks
- Advanced proficiency querying and correlating logs in SIEM environments
- Proven expertise developing and executing remediation plans for compromised environments
- Experience developing scripts and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Experience with AI models, platforms, MCP servers, agentic frameworks, prompt engineering, and AI adoption
- Ability to lead complex technical investigations independently as a subject matter expert
- Demonstrated commitment to mentoring peers and junior team members
- Incident response industry thought leadership
- Project management skills and ability to drive process improvements to completion
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude
- Must be willing to work a 4x10 schedule, including a day on the weekend
- BA or BS / MA or MS degree in a specified technical or related field, or relevant work experience and/or training in lieu of a degree
