Key responsibilities & impact- Perform and support day-to-day accounting activities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Investigate and resolve accounting variances, reconciling differences, and unusual transactions
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepare financial schedules, supporting analyses, financial statements, and reporting packages
- Analyze financial results and account activity
- Prepare variance analyses and explanations for leadership review
- Execute internal control activities and support SOX compliance and testing
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to internal and external auditor requests
- Support accounting systems, ERP processes, reporting tools, system enhancements, automation, and process improvements
- Assist with transition of accounting activities from shared service environments and TSA exit activities
- Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Procurement, HR, and IT teams
- Partner with the Accounting Manager and broader Finance organization to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and efficient processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong experience with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SOX controls, and financial reporting principles
- Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
- Experience supporting month-end close processes
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred; CPA candidate strongly encouraged
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
