Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or a related technology discipline
- 5+ years of experience leading software initiatives or managing software engineering resources, including responsibility for coaching, performance, staffing, or capacity planning
- Experience leading delivery of enterprise software through the full software development lifecycle
- Experience managing multiple priorities, teams, dependencies, and stakeholders in a complex organization
- Experience with Agile software delivery and modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, source control, automated testing, and production support
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, develop, and retain engineering talent
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business and executive audiences
- Experience working in a Product Agile operating model preferred
- Experience leading multiple geographically distributed engineering teams preferred
- Experience in health care, health insurance, pharmacy, financial services, or another regulated industry preferred
- Experience with cloud technologies, APIs, distributed systems, modern application architectures, and platform modernization preferred
- Experience using engineering and product measures preferred
- Experience with budget planning, vendor management, workforce strategy, or technology portfolio planning preferred
- Agile, Scrum, SAFe, cloud, security, or engineering-management certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; alternatively, high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience
