Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop multiple Software Engineering teams delivering commercial payments, corporate card, business spend, and financial integration solutions
- Drive execution of engineering roadmaps aligned with product strategy, business priorities, and customer outcomes

- Ensure adherence to security, risk, compliance, and data protection standards in regulated environments
- Partner with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders on priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments
- Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams and foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Lead distributed teams, including contractors and vendor partners, to deliver high-quality solutions at scale
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant technical experience
- Three to four years of leading a software engineering team
- Engineering leadership and people management experience leading multiple software engineering teams
- Strong background in Software Development, System Design, and Distributed Systems Architecture
- Experience delivering API Integrations, System-to-System Integrations, and enterprise platforms
- Expertise in Production Support, Incident Response, Release Management, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- Knowledge of Payments, Commercial Cards, ACH, Money Movement, or Financial Technology platforms
- Experience with ERP/Accounting Integrations (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero)
- Strong understanding of Security, Compliance, Risk Management, and regulated industry requirements
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex programs, and deliver scalable customer-focused solutions
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
