About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead global market intelligence initiatives involving forecasts, trends, opportunity analysis, and competitive environment evaluation
- Create a central knowledge hub for managing market reports and making insights accessible and actionable
- Connect with key customers and assess market analytics and customer/competitor portfolios
- Translate findings into strategic recommendations
- Drive regional strategic business development by scouting, identifying, and engaging potential investment and collaboration partners
- Act as a technology and innovation scout for emerging technologies and solutions
- Feed emerging technology insights into future product development considerations
- Lead or support collaborative projects with external technology or business partners
- Analyze Eppendorf’s strengths and improvement areas
- Work directly with the Global Executive Committee, Corporate Development, and division leaders to shape growth strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in market research, consulting and/or business/market intelligence
- Strong track record of translating data into strategic recommendations
- Solid scientific or technical background
- Insight into life-science, biological and biomedical sciences, biotech/industrial, pharma and clinical environments
- Experience with competitive intelligence, market research and business development methods and tools
- Experience with new markets or emerging technologies
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment at the interface of R&D, sales, marketing, business development and new market development
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong presentation and visualization skills
- Ability to orchestrate complex processes and deliver on time
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Effective networking and interpersonal skills
- Results-oriented, business-focused mindset
