About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Visualise insights generated by data scientists for clients
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and design specialists to build client-facing products
  • Solve unique challenges using AI and Machine Learning
  • Drive industry best practices and standards within the frontend guild
  • Prioritise, plan, coordinate, and communicate frontend features to internal and external stakeholders
  • Set up and maintain development and deployment infrastructure for the dedicated frontend team
  • Maintain and enforce technical best practices and standards across Faculty's frontend capacity
  • Create and maintain reusable component libraries for company-wide projects
  • Provide training, mentoring, and onboarding support for new frontend engineers
  • Act as the frontend software engineering authority within the team
  • Participate in talent screening, pair programming, system design, and commercial interviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated experience building scalable, maintainable, and well-tested web applications using React
  • High proficiency in ES6 JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3
  • Hands-on experience writing TypeScript or other typed languages
  • Experience with data visualisation techniques and implementations such as d3
  • Exposure to cloud deployment using AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Strong focus on technical excellence and willingness to set standards and mentor others
  • May need to be eligible for UK Developed Vetting (DV)
  • Role requires eligibility for Security Clearance, meaning continuous residence in the UK for the past 5 years
  • Must address UK visa sponsorship requirements
  • May be required to travel throughout the UK on a weekly basis if applying for the Defence team
