Key responsibilities & impact- Support the development and delivery of procurement strategies aligned with Fora’s business priorities
- Identify opportunities to improve value through specification, price, efficiency, demand and alternative sourcing
- Bring external market insight into procurement decisions
- Balance cost efficiency with quality, service and operational needs
- Build relationships with key suppliers and establish expectations around quality, cost and delivery
- Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation and due diligence
- Develop and lead supplier negotiation strategies
- Manage contracts through sourcing and approval processes
- Establish cost expectations and supplier forecasts with stakeholders
- Monitor supplier spend against budgets and identify variances, risks and opportunities
- Analyse spend categories and cost drivers
- Report on supplier performance, cost trends and procurement KPIs
- Improve procurement processes, systems and tools
- Assess and manage procurement risks and support contingency planning
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal and other teams
- Coach and mentor junior colleagues
- Promote continuous improvement, commercial thinking and accountability within the Procurement team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven track record in procurement, with experience across sourcing, category management and supplier management
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and risk management
- Demonstrable experience developing and leading successful supplier negotiations
- Experience managing supplier performance and commercial relationships
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate it into clear commercial insight
- Experience using data visualisation platforms such as Power BI
- Experience reviewing budgets, tracking costs and reporting against forecasts
- Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across different business functions
- Relevant degree, postgraduate qualification or professional certification is desirable
- Experience within a private equity-backed, real estate or consumer-focused business is desirable
- Experience working on large-scale projects or within complex organisational structures is desirable
- Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable
- Advanced Excel or financial modelling capability is desirable
