Key responsibilities & impact- Define requirements and metrics for validating perception software to enable safe and comfortable autonomous vehicle operations
- Own analysis and characterization of perception systems influencing software development and launch decisions
- Prototype and develop simulation-based and road-based testing strategies supporting continuous and scaled software release cycles
- Combine systems engineering and data analysis experience to facilitate data-driven design validation, risk analysis, and prioritization decisions
- Own roadmaps for long-term and stable requirements verification/validation and software solutions across multiple product lifecycles
- Mentor team members and facilitate cross-team collaboration to define perception validation strategies for new launches
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field of study
- Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Perception Algorithm Developer Engineer, or related role
- Five (5) years of experience in systems engineering, robotics, systems analysis, data analysis, and statistical analysis
- Three (3) years of experience with SQL, Python, and C++ for large data sets
- Three (3) years of experience evaluating machine-learned systems and setting acceptance criteria on perception systems and state estimators
- Three (3) years of experience with detection and classification metrics including precision, recall, and footprint overlap
- Three (3) years of experience with vehicle dynamics and deriving requirements based on physics
- Must be able to report to the local office
