About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape and execute the strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for specific autonomy capabilities and the underlying autonomy platform
- Own the product vision and roadmap for AV capabilities and the autonomy platform for GM's next-generation autonomy products
- Balance engineering constraints, business needs, and internal platform dependencies
- Communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions to internal customers, executives, and other audiences
- Synthesize technical and analytical insights into PRDs and requirements for engineers and partners
- Lead executives and key partners through complex decisions to drive strategic progress
- Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Data Science, Commercial Operations, Systems Engineering, and Consumer Product teams
- Lead improvements to innovation practices to scale team impact
- Define, track, and analyze product metrics and performance data
- Monitor new technology and competitive products, anticipate threats, and identify risks
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of product management or related industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields
- Proven experience with technical product management and leading the entire product lifecycle from concept to introduction
- Strong analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from complex data
- Excellent presentation abilities
- Technical proficiency in problem-solving with complex software solutions
- Experience defining vision and strategy for robotics or autonomy software products
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with ability to drive stakeholder buy-in
- Proven oral and written communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical partners
- Comfortable with complex and ambiguous problems and adept at identifying project risks
- Enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment
- Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, or other immigration support
- MBA or Master's in related technical fields (preferred)
- Experience working on Autonomous Vehicle teams on ML/AI models (preferred)
- Experience fostering innovation and driving change in complex organizations (preferred)
- Experience shipping hardware or AI-driven consumer products (preferred)
