About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define technical success for difficult enterprise accounts through written charters and named gates
- Decide whether Forward Deployment should engage and identify commercial, political, or organizational blockers
- Commit in writing to squad deliverables, timelines, customer prerequisites, and non-goals
- Manage technical relationships with CIOs, CHROs, procurement leads, and security architects
- Clear technical gates on commercial decisions while carrying no quota
- Lead a squad of two to three forward deployed engineers without direct people management
- Close engagements through platform graduation, paid or drawdown-funded work, or termination
- Present engagement decisions to a monthly graduation board
- Build customer prototypes using Claude, Cursor, Replit, and Figma Make
- Analyze account activation and utilization data and communicate product patterns to the product organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years in product management, solutions architecture, or a forward deployed role
- Several years owning the technical relationship on enterprise accounts with seven- or eight-figure contract value
- Record of turning around a troubled enterprise account
- Enterprise deployment experience, including HRIS integrations, security questionnaires, procurement, and rollout challenges
- Ability to read API documentation, reason about data pipelines, configure LLM context and guardrails, and assess security-review viability
- Executive credibility with customer and internal leadership teams
- Experience in B2B2C
- AI-native fluency and prototyping with agents
- Ability to make decisions with incomplete information
- Domain expertise in organizational transformation, human transformation, or talent intelligence is a plus
- Must be able to work from an office hub at least two days per week or eight days per month
- Must be able to realistically commute to an Austin, San Francisco, Arlington, or New York hub
