Key responsibilities & impact- Lead assigned projects with indirect supervision and strong initiative
- Provide SAP support by preparing purchase requests and purchase orders, processing invoices, creating work orders, setting up WBS, requesting controlling orders, completing accruals, CIAC processing, TECO, and unitization
- Provide iBuy subject matter expertise and support project managers, including creating bids, tracking approvals, and closing tenders
- Ensure team performance of Internal Avangrid Controls and SOX compliance
- Develop and deploy training materials and programs to improve organizational efficiencies
- Produce reports and coordinate document review
- Coordinate with vendors and project teams for purchasing needs, tracking and reporting monthly
- Identify process issues and work with project management processes and standards to develop improvements
- Identify and assist in competency development opportunities
- Develop innovative project management and project controls solutions using tools such as Primavera, Excel, and SAP
- Communicate problems or needs to project teams and senior management and present information when required
- Anticipate project manager and stakeholder needs, assess requirements, and identify new solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, economics or related field
- SAP proficiency required
- Seven years of experience in project management, finance, and related subject matter
- Excel skills required
- Strong quantitative skills with ability to produce spreadsheets, data base queries, and other such analytical tools
- Ability to contribute to the advancement of project management in the organization
- Must be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
- Strong written and verbal skills required
- May require travel
- Advanced degree, certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), holder of Master’s Certificate in Project Management, or the like preferred
