About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Cover responsibilities within Securities Services, including settlements, mutual fund settlements, outside trade support or corporate actions
- Perform trade support, clearance, settlement investigations and confirmations under direct supervision
- Process high-value securities transactions
- Verify trade settlement information at depositories and in proprietary systems
- Execute new trades/instructions in various markets when required
- Process cash movements accurately and timely according to deadlines and procedures
- Research and resolve internal and external inquiries
- Serve as first-line contact for issues from administrators, custody representatives and investment staff
- Follow up on outstanding settlement issues and research failed activity
- Communicate settlement issues with administrators, vendors, depositories and other interested parties
- Promote teamwork and participate in cross-training
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1 year of operations experience in securities clearance industry preferred
- Basic understanding of investments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional customer service skills
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills
- Intuitive judgment and systematic problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in stressful environment and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal/relationship skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to formulate timely solutions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
- Aptitude for learning business-specific software programs
