Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct independent research, analyze data, and present findings
- Collaborate with teams and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for US markets
- Translate client business needs into structured functional requirements, user stories, and business framework documents
- Gather and document reporting requirements, including metrics, KPIs, and data views for Power BI and Tableau
- Act as the functional bridge between client stakeholders and BI developers
- Produce technical specifications, data mapping documents, and mockups/wireframes
- Understand current situations and problem statements
- Interact regularly with clients, understand requirements, and provide actuarial solutions
- Assist with learning and development of new team members
- Manage work assigned to and delivered by a hybrid onshore/offshore team
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences
- Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 6 CT actuarial exams; SP 7,8 is an advantage
- 7+ years of experience in the General Insurance / P&C domain
- Deep functional understanding of P&C actuarial concepts and GI pricing
- Experience with Personal and commercial lines general insurance pricing and reserving for US insurance markets
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements related to reserves, including statutory filings, IFRS 17, and GAAP
- Solid conceptual knowledge of reserving methods and models
- Proven Business Analyst experience bridging business stakeholders and technical development teams
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Solid functional understanding of data flows feeding Power BI and Tableau dashboards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, data literacy, communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
- Ability to work with stakeholders across the globe and understand cross-cultural differences
