About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Firm-wide monthly financial close process
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain strong balance sheet governance and resolve reconciling items
- Support internal controls and compliance efforts
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data and processes
- Contribute to process improvement, automation, and systems enhancement initiatives
- Support internal and external audits, special projects, and ad hoc analyses
- Develop accounting, analytical, and business acumen
- Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, business operations, Commercial, HR, IT, and other Firm groups
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 0-1 years of experience in Accounting or related finance discipline
- Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required
- Aderant or equivalent general ledger system a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships
- Ability to handle confidential information and exercise sound judgement
- May require travel to other offices as needed
- Advanced Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting and/or CPA is a plus
