About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review completed anonymization tasks against current guidelines
- Decide whether each task is ready for approval or needs edits
- Identify missed PII, incorrect classifications, and incorrect entity groupings
- Return work only for genuine defects with feedback specific enough for one-pass correction
- Keep up with guideline updates several times per week
- Apply the guideline version in force on the review date
- Work asynchronously with a distributed team
- Raise ambiguous cases in the project channel rather than guessing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience in quality assurance, editorial review, compliance review, or another role where judgment was the last check before delivery
- Sharp attention to detail across long, repetitive material
- Clear, direct written feedback
- Comfort being measured through regular accuracy audits
- Comfort with frequently changing rules and checking the current guideline before relying on memory
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, focused workspace
- Experience in post-reading jobs such as copy-editing, paralegal work, or medical de-identification
- Familiarity with PII, privacy, or data-protection concepts is nice to have
- Experience with data annotation, labeling review, or evaluation workflows is nice to have
- Experience reading structured business data such as CRM, ticketing, email, or accounting exports is nice to have
- Must be located in the USA
- Independent contractor status
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
