About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess prospective firms before acquisition, including cost structure, staffing, productivity and cash conversion benchmarking
- Identify operating gaps, support needs and opportunities to improve FCF margin
- Build prioritized profitability transformation plans with costs, resources, timing, assumptions, risks and dependencies
- Analyze financial statements, staffing, vendors and workflows to identify high-return opportunities
- Lead cross-firm initiatives including vendor and MSP consolidation, offshoring, shared services, staffing improvements and process redesign
- Implement and manage change through pilots, training, concern resolution and follow-through
- Build, train teams on and maintain operational playbooks
- Support acquisition onboarding and agree implementation plans with firm leaders
- Track time saved, avoided hiring, recurring cost reductions and realized net cash benefit with Finance
- Own operating standards, improvement priorities and business outcomes from diagnosis through rollout and ongoing performance
- Collaborate with the Head of BizOps, firm leaders, PX, systems and automation, commercial growth and Finance teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong financial understanding: ability to read P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements and connect them to business operations
- Hands-on analytical ability with messy financial and operating data, modeling, assumption testing and recommendations
- Early adopter of AI who actively tests new tools and evaluates their effect on cost, quality or productivity
- Experience taking operating improvements from analysis through implementation with measurable results
- Strong relationship skills with firm leaders, managers and frontline staff
- Good judgment about priorities, budgets and return on investment
- Ability to run several cross-firm initiatives with clear ownership and follow-through
- Willingness to travel regularly
- Relevant background in portfolio operations, finance and operations, consulting, or leading improvements within a services business
