About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and lead the development of innovative products and solutions to drive premium volume growth and maintain product portfolio competitiveness and profitability
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape
- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams to design insurance solutions and develop product specifications, pricing strategies, and policy language
- Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify product enhancement, improvement, and new product development opportunities
- Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps and conduct SWOT analyses
- Develop product and rate revisions, underwriting guidelines, manuals, and procedures
- Work with marketing, business development, and insurance operations teams on product launches and ongoing support
- Develop and present training regarding new products and product changes to internal teams and external agents
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and market shifts
- May coach staff and participate in talent selection, development, and performance management decisions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- Minimum of 9 years of related underwriting or product experience
- Advanced technical knowledge of insurance products and lines of business
- Knowledge of industry laws and regulations
- Advanced proficiency in interpreting competitive data and industry trends
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions
- Demonstrated decision-making ability and customer-centric mindset
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
- Position may require occasional travel
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
