Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, integrate, and test Flight Management System software for military helicopters and aircraft
- Work with Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for flight management systems
- Build software integrated into military helicopters and planes
- Develop expertise in software engineering and Flight Management Systems
- Apply leadership, communication, coordination, and proactive collaboration in a dynamic environment
- Deliver quality and timely products to internal and external customers
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed, under 10%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- 4+ years of experience with C, C++, DOORS, Ada, and/or Python
- 4+ years of experience in a Software role
- US Citizenship is required
- Preference to have the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance if needed
- Industry experience of Software Lifecycle Development (Design, Requirements, Integration, Test) preferred
- Pilot/Avionics experience, such as Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, or DO-178 Certification, preferred
- Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance if needed after day 1 preferred
- Domestic and international travel under 10% as needed
