Key responsibilities & impact- Implement, configure, and administer firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs, proxies, and NAC solutions
- Administer and fine-tune endpoint protection solutions, including EDR/XDR, antimalware, DLP, and device control
- Define and review network security policies, including firewall rules, segmentation, access control, and asset hardening
- Monitor security alerts and events across networks and endpoints, investigating and addressing incidents in collaboration with the SOC
- Support vulnerability management by analyzing scan results, prioritizing risks, and tracking remediation efforts
- Integrate network and endpoint solutions with the SIEM, ensuring log quality and effective detection use cases
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and security reports
- Participate in projects involving the deployment, migration, and enhancement of security solutions
- Collaborate with infrastructure, SOC, and project teams to strengthen the protection of clients and internal environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Networks, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Solid experience in network and/or endpoint security: at least 3 years for mid-level professionals; at least 5 years for senior professionals
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols (IPsec, SSL)
- Hands-on experience with leading firewall solutions, such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, or Cisco
- Experience with EDR/XDR solutions, such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or Trend Micro
- Experience analyzing logs and investigating incidents
- Knowledge of hardening Windows and Linux environments
- Security and networking certifications are a plus
- Experience with SIEM platforms, such as Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel, is a plus
- Knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001 is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Zero Trust is a plus
- Scripting skills for automation (Python, PowerShell) are a plus
- Intermediate or advanced English proficiency
- Spanish is a plus for working across Latin America
