About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Commission, program, and set up graphics and communications links on assigned projects
- Perform end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and servicing
- Document point-to-point verification, sequence-of-operations validation, and job closeout requirements
- Serve as direct customer contact for assigned projects
- Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
- Coordinate with team leaders and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
- Examine building layouts, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
- Maintain current knowledge of Trane products and direct digital control system installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
- Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets
- Work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as business requires
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school required
- At least 7 years of experience in HVAC/Controls
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Working proficiency with handheld computers such as smartphones and iPads
- Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
- No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred
- Technical School or formal training preferred
- Safety-sensitive role may require additional drug screening
