About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the implementation of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, including requirements gathering, template and workflow configuration, testing, database migration, and go-live
- Serve as the Legal team’s primary point of contact with IT and the system vendor, monitoring timelines, outstanding items, and tool enhancements
- Train and support system users inside and outside the Legal team, monitoring adoption after go-live
- Review, standardize, and keep the group’s internal templates up to date by business unit through final approval and release to the relevant departments
- Support the structuring of the Legal team’s internal processes by documenting workflows and operating routines
- Develop and monitor departmental metrics, including demand volume, response time, demand type by department, and use of standard templates
- Prepare periodic reports
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation in Legal operations and propose solutions, including the use of artificial intelligence
- Draft, review, and negotiate group contracts, including supply, services, distribution, leases, commercial partnerships, and NDAs, conducting risk analyses and providing clear recommendations
- Support the contracts team with questions regarding templates, clause interpretation, and negotiation positions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in a corporate legal department and/or law firm
- Experience implementing Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems or similar legal technology, from requirements gathering through go-live
- Experience reviewing and standardizing contract templates
- Experience with process improvement projects and the organization of legal workflows
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of BI tools
- Practical use of artificial intelligence in a legal context
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with business and IT teams, translating legal needs into system requirements
- Autonomy, organization, and the ability to manage projects alongside day-to-day demands
- Preferred: experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, distribution, or other regulated industries
- Preferred: postgraduate degree, LL.M., or specialization in Contract Law, Corporate Law, Project Management, or Legal Operations
