About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Negotiate judicial settlements with claimants and opposing counsel, within the account’s authorization limits.
- Review the case portfolio and identify matters with settlement potential.
- Calculate proposal ranges in accordance with established guidelines.
- Formalize settlements, draft settlement agreements, and monitor court approvals.
- Record outcomes and update settlement performance metrics.
- Pursue cost-effective consensual solutions for clients.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), or successful completion of the Bar Examination, with issuance of the bar card in progress upon proof of approval.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience with settlements, including internship experience.
- Knowledge of Consumer Law and the assessment of moral damages in consumer-related matters.
- Experience in airline or telecommunications operations is a plus.
- Experience in a settlement or negotiation team within high-volume litigation operations is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in accordance with the guidelines for each case portfolio.
