About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, support, and develop a team specializing in operations and safety
- Oversee the successful technical and financial delivery of the department’s projects, in collaboration with project managers
- Ensure the team’s skills and expertise align with market needs and upcoming projects
- Contribute to business development by monitoring tender opportunities and preparing bids
- Directly manage projects involving owner’s engineering support or expert advisory services in operations or safety
- Collaborate with other department heads on interdisciplinary transport projects
- Enhance the department’s technical profile in France and internationally through publications, conferences, professional networks, and WSP communities of expertise
- Lead and develop a team dedicated to operations and safety in transport infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree or equivalent (minimum five years of higher education), ideally in engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- At least ten years of experience managing design or construction supervision projects in operations or safety for transport infrastructure
- Demonstrated interest in people management, employee development, and building a technical team
- Strong command of project management, stakeholder coordination, and technical and financial monitoring
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
- Full professional proficiency in French and English
