About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the strategy and performance of multi-site data center operations in the Paris region
Develop a short- and medium-term operational roadmap, including priorities, action plans, and required resources
Define and harmonize methods for managing operational activities across all sites
Consolidate and enhance KPIs and dashboards covering availability, maintenance, customer communication, and compliance with procedures
Analyze results, identify gaps, and lead corrective actions
Produce structured reporting for senior management
Manage and support site managers and develop their skills
Organize resource allocation and monitor workload plans
Support the reorganization of the scope, harmonize practices, and contribute to the integration of new sites
Ensure the availability, resilience, and operational continuity of critical infrastructure
Oversee preventive, corrective, and statutory maintenance, as well as projects, expansions, retrofits, and changes
Map, prioritize, and address operational and technical risks, particularly single points of failure (SPOFs) and critical obsolescence risks
Lead major incidents, escalations, root-cause analyses, and corrective and preventive actions
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and business continuity requirements
Ensure contractual commitments, SLAs, and quality standards expected by customers are met
Develop relationships with customers, maintenance providers, and contractors
Improve the coordination of interventions and the quality of partner services
Prepare and monitor OPEX and CAPEX budgets
Make decisions on maintenance, renewal, and investment priorities
Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, HSE, ICPE, and applicable ISO requirements
Deploy consistent standards, procedures, and methods
Contribute to improving energy performance, particularly PUE, and controlling operating costs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Higher education qualification, ideally a Master’s degree (Bac +5 equivalent), such as an engineering degree or specialized master’s in electrical engineering, energy engineering, HVAC, industrial maintenance, or operations management
A technical Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3 equivalent) may be considered where supported by particularly strong experience
Significant experience in the operation, maintenance, or technical management of critical infrastructure
Significant experience managing managers, leading multi-site operations, or holding a comparable operational leadership role
Proven experience in a critical 24/7 environment with stringent availability, security, and compliance requirements
Experience managing major incidents, overseeing budgets, managing risks, and leading operational transformations
Strong understanding of data center operations and of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, building management/BMS, and control systems
Strong command of preventive, corrective, and statutory maintenance management
Knowledge of SLAs and KPIs relating to availability, capacity, service quality, and energy performance
Ability to analyze and challenge technical risks, maintenance plans, and investments
Strong understanding of OPEX/CAPEX budgeting and applicable regulatory requirements
Leadership skills and the ability to manage experienced site managers
Technical credibility and a strong sense of responsibility
Ability to structure an organization, harmonize practices, and lead change
Ability to unite teams and foster cross-functional collaboration
