Key responsibilities & impact- Optimize the profitability of fuel sales under volatile pricing and/or market conditions
- Develop and execute pricing strategies consistent with achieving performance metrics
- Engage with other departments to provide insight on market-level performance and forecasts
- Conduct tactical analysis using large data sets to understand performance trends, mitigate risks, identify threats, and realize opportunities
- Stay informed on market conditions
- Track strategy initiatives and evaluate KPIs week over week; document successes
- Serve as subject matter expert on fuel and provide fuel projections for M&A and Real Estate
- Communicate with store, field personnel, and management; provide weekly financial recaps with insights
- Drive collaboration and learning initiatives within the pricing team and spread best practices
- Troubleshoot integration issues and interface with fuel technicians and store employees to identify system integration issues and solutions
- Oversee data integrity of fuel pricing systems
- Lead projects supporting team initiatives
- Seek knowledge of the industry, systems, and market dynamics through curiosity and self-paced learning
- Use data analysis to debate and drive new approaches
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's/4 Yr Degree required
- Bachelor's degree with major in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Marketing, Statistics or related fields preferred
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc.)
- SQL proficiency
- Tableau knowledge
- Microsoft Power BI knowledge is a plus
- Petroleum industry knowledge
- Understanding of convenience store industry
- Strong analytical decision-making abilities
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
