Key responsibilities & impact- Act as DriveWorks subject matter expert by designing, building, and maintaining DriveWorks projects and rule sets
- Author and maintain DriveWorks Rules Builder rules implementing business logic
- Capture and map SolidWorks models and assemblies for configuration
- Configure rules to drive model dimensions and features
- Implement and manage automated model and drawing generation workflows
- Manage replacements and updates of CAD models in DriveWorks projects
- Modify and maintain SolidWorks part and assembly models and associated drawings
- Translate business product configuration needs into technical requirements and DriveWorks implementations
- Support integration between DriveWorks and host applications including ERPs, PLM, and in-house applications
- Maintain knowledge of DriveWorks interdependencies with ERP systems, web servers, and SQL databases
- Report software bugs to vendors, coordinate testing, and implement fixes
- Maintain and monitor web servers, application servers, SQL, and other infrastructure supporting DriveWorks
- Coordinate DriveWorks upgrades and patches, including regression testing and data migrations
- Monitor critical issues and provide timely production incident support
- Participate in an on-call rotation for priority outages
- Provide technical expertise for product configuration in global ERP and rollout programs
- Troubleshoot DriveWorks and SolidWorks issues with IT teams and external vendors
- Support deployment management, controlled rollover and rollback procedures
- Perform root cause analysis and propose long-term corrective actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
- The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years' experience designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and integrating product configuration solutions
- Demonstrable hands-on DriveWorks experience
- Practical experience with DriveWorks Rules Builder, model capture, generation tasks, dimension driving, and model replacement
- SolidWorks modeling experience, including modifying models and drawings used by configurators
- Experience with configurator or ERP implementations and support
- Experience integrating DriveWorks with ERP/PLM systems preferred
- Experience with web servers and SQL servers
- Demonstrable proficiency with MS SQL Server / Azure SQL
- Strong problem solving, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills
- Comfort working with logs, configuration data, and CAD models
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders across global teams
- Ability to coordinate and work with internal stakeholders, technology teams, and external suppliers/consultants
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and configuration rules
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail and urgency
- Familiarity with fenestration, mechanical, and hollow metal products preferred
