About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive technical and commercial outcomes for facility construction
- Oversee construction projects and coordinate utilities, offtakers, lenders, vendors, and construction partners
- Report to the Director of Project Delivery
- Manage a portfolio of two or three PV and battery storage projects from origination to Final Completion
- Plan, design, finance, and construct PV arrays and battery energy storage systems with cross-functional teams
- Facilitate collaboration across company functions and manage budgets and schedules through development, preconstruction, construction, and commissioning
- Support asset acquisitions by identifying execution risks and planning growth strategy implementation
- Lead RFPs for construction services and critical equipment procurement
- Negotiate and administer construction and equipment agreements
- Consolidate EPCA comments and edits, lead closing calls, maintain exhibits trackers, and negotiate statements of values through NTP
- Manage utility and ISO interconnection agreements against the construction schedule
- Coordinate with EPCs on engineering and construction progress and contract milestone document submittals
- Report progress statistics to senior management during steering committee calls
- Manage budgets, review and approve invoices, process critical project transactions, and support accurate financial reporting
- Confirm critical equipment specifications with engineering and procurement
- Report PPA milestones, track schedule risk, and hold vendors and contractors accountable
- Provide procurement and construction information to lenders
- Reconcile schedule, cost, and contract records so projects can be handed over at Final Completion
Requirements
What you’ll need- Remote or Hybrid work, with up to 25% travel
- Minimum of three years delivering utility-scale solar or battery storage; five years preferred
- Experience in preconstruction
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience managing schedules
- Preferred experience with PPA milestone management
- Preferred experience with utility and ISO interconnection agreements
- Preferred experience with EPCA negotiation and administration
- Preferred experience working with finance on lender reporting during procurement and construction
- Degrees in mathematics, statistics, engineering, the sciences, finance, and business are sought, but candidates who believe they can do the job are encouraged to apply
- Preference given to candidates in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
- Ability to work with minimal oversight
- Detail-oriented approach
- Comfortable working in a growth organization
- Ability to travel to projects and partners for up to 25% of the time
