About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead day-to-day responsibilities in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements
- Lead diligence meetings with target company management teams
- Perform quality of earnings and working capital analyses
- Formulate adjusting entries to client financial statements
- Understand and evaluate financial and operational trends of subject companies
- Analyze target-company financial operations and identify issues affecting purchase price
- Resolve issues affecting purchase price
- Prepare and communicate due diligence findings in formal reports
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Assist in preparing proposals and engagement letters
- Supervise Associates and provide performance review feedback
- Work collaboratively with practice leaders and team members
- Mentor team members
- Report to and work closely with practice leaders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years in public accounting (audit and/or transaction advisory)
- 2+ years in transaction advisory preferred
- CPA license preferred
- Excellent technical skills, including data management and analysis
- Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well-rounded balance of financial accounting and business acumen
- Capability of managing multiple projects and tasks on short-notice engagements
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability and flexibility to perform within a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work at varying levels of responsibility depending on project type and timing
- Willingness to flex upwards and downwards over the course of an engagement
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
